Electric
Car Hire
Experience Old Town, Duval Street and the Beach in the slow moving
electric vehicles, known locally as "Conch Cruisers".
For an island that has a top speed of 35 and traffic that moves
at a much slower pace, the "Cruiser" is the perfect
way to see paradise.
Bicycle Hire
The best way to see Key West on a budget…. bicycles…have
them delivered to Westwinds within 30 min; you are provided with
a flashlight and lock. There are plenty of bike racks off Duval
Street for easy transportation around the Island.
Hard Rock Café
If the Hard Rock Cafe Key West were open in the early 1900's,
you would doubtlessly have found Ernest Hemingway seated on the
beautiful patio overlooking Duval Street. Quite possibly The Old
Man and the Sea would have included a scene with the "Old
Man" downing Floribbean favorites and ice-cold margaritas
before embarking on his fishing excursion. Stationed in the heart
of downtown Key West, legend has it that this old three-story
Victorian style house is still haunted by the ghost of its original
owner, Robert Curry, who meanders along the corridors of this
unique cafe.
Art Galleries
There are over 30 Art Galleries located within walking distance
of Westwinds…come and experience a wide variety of unique
local art.
Butterfly & Nature Conservatory
Take a stroll through a tropical paradise...walk through an exotic
and inviting environment filled with hundreds of the most beautiful
winged creatures in nature - butterflies. You will have a unique
opportunity to observe butterflies and birds in a tropical setting.
